We are no strangers to beer festivals here in Montana. It seems like a new celebration of beer is being hosted on a weekly basis. But, what about celebrating something with a different kind of adult beverage. A drink that has a tendency to bring out some REALLY interesting behavior from some. A concoction that consists of the legendary spirit, TEQUILA.

Northwest Margarita Fest is back for 2022 in Missoula.

Northwest Margarita Fest is returning to Caras Park in Missoula on July 9, 2022, featuring everything from mezcal and tequila tastings to food and Latin music. Oh and MUCHO MARGARITAS!

BFK Presents recently released a hilarious promo video for the upcoming festival, a video that easily sums up just how much some people like a good tequila. The video starts with a homage to Indiana Jones. It begins with a treasure hunter attempting to swipe a bottle of tequila. When he grabs the bottle, it sets off a stampede of thirsty women. Just as the group of charging ladies nearly tackle the man for his booze, he wakes up on a beach. Only to realize that it was all just a dream.

What's the difference between mezcal and tequila?

The Northwest Margarita Fest will feature a mezcal and tequila tasting. Have you ever wondered what the difference is between the two?

According to foodandwine.com, they are distilled differently

Tequila is typically produced by steaming the agave inside industrial ovens before being distilled two or three times in copper pots. Mezcal, on the other hand, is cooked inside earthen pits that are lined with lava rocks and filled with wood and charcoal before being distilled in clay pots.

Try them both at the Northwest Margarita Fest on July 9th in Caras Park.
