Missoula is and always has been home to some of the most creative artists in the state. Missoula has no problem coming up with talented people who excel at everything from dance to acting to art. But, what Missoula REALLY has a knack for, is the amount of talented musicians that form during their time here. Though not many Missoula bands have gone out and performed sold out stadiums and made multi-platinum records. They are still a force to be reckoned with. Not only on a local level, but statewide as well.

This weekend, MARCH 13th 2021, bands from all over Big Sky Country will gather in our state's capitol. The statewide Battle of the Bands will take place this upcoming Saturday at the Helena Civic Center ballroom and auditorium stages. That's right 2 stages.

According to the Official Facebook Event page

The event will have a live audience with up to 220 people per stage and LIVE bands. Both stages will be streamed onto the big screens in the other room as well as live streamed right into your living room. The winner will be voted on by the public the night of the battle and will receive the first ever “Best Montana Band” trophy, a cash prize and an offer of a paid gig at LC Tap Room.

Lewis and Clark Brewing will be hooking up beer and their will also be food vendors. So plan on a short road trip to Helena this weekend and get out and support local music.
