- Circa Survive have announced a Sept. 22 street date for their new album The Amulet. The band also released a new song and video for "Lustration." See the video here and get album pre-order details here.

- Hired Gun, the recent documentary featuring the stories of some of music's top "hired gun" performers, will be released on DVD, Blu-Ray and VOD on Aug. 1. The film features Five Finger Death Punch's Jason Hook, Rudy Sarzo, Liberty Devitto and many more.
- Guitar great Marty Friedman has unleashed a new song called "Miracle" from his forthcoming Wall of Sound solo album, due Aug. 4 via Prosthetic Records. Listen to it here.
