Cole Hauser has developed his character over the last few seasons. So much so that his character was one of the most popular Halloween costumes this year. Not to mention he has become a "heartthrob" for women all across the country.

Did you know that Cole Hauser is more Montanan than most of us?

If the last name sounds familiar then you are probably aware that much of Cole's paternal family is from Montana. In fact, his great-grandfather was the first governor of Montana. He even has a giant reservoir near Helena named after his family. So it is safe to say he was born for this role.

According to popculture.com, Cole has teased that he is stepping into another role in the "Yellowstone" universe.

Hauser is set to appear in 1883: The Bass Reeves Story, a six-part limited series jumping off from 1883 to focus on the legendary black Texas ranger, played in the series by David Oyelowo. Hauser's role isn't revealed just yet, but the Selma actor did expand on his desire to take the role and do the limited series.

This news has already got people speculating about the fate of Rip in the upcoming season. Is Cole's role in the 1883 project mean that Rip may be getting killed off in season 5? Only one way to find out. Make sure to tune in to the 2-hour premiere of "Yellowstone" this upcoming Sunday on Paramount +.
