When Metallica perform The Black Album in its entirety at the Download Festival in England next summer, it'll be the first time they've ever played the tracks "Don't Tread on Me" and "The Struggle Within" live. Drummer Lars Ulrich tells Kerrang that Metallica will have to do a couple of rehearsals to get the full album down. But he doesn't seem too worried, saying, "To be honest with you, a song like 'The Struggle Within' is a lot easier to re-learn than 'The Frayed Ends of Sanity' [from ...And Justice for All]. I don't think it's going to be too difficult for us to figure out these songs."

Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello has been a vocal supporter of the Occupy Wall Street movement, so it's no surprise that he's one of the first artists to sign on for OccupyMusicians.com. The website, which went live Monday, will help coordinate performances at protest sites and document work by the artists that relates to the movement. It’ll also be a great resource to find the drum circle nearest you.
