Last night, Closing Chapter let me get a good look at the Civil Unrest tour in Butte and all I can say is be prepared Missoula.  Even though I will be seeing the same bands Friday night, I cannot wait!  I tagged along with locals Walking Corpse Syndrome to see them open the show.  I can't imagine how great it must have felt sharing the stage with the bands we all grew up listening to and have playing over our stereos on a regular basis.

When these guys take the stage you think you just walked into a scene from Book of Eli but you will soon find that their industrial metal is just as filthy as their "Post Apocalyptic / Steampunk" garb.

This was my first time seeing Smile Empty Soul live and I was not disappointed. I hate it when I fall in love with an earlier album then see the band later down the line after a drastic change in style. That is not the case here. Smile Empty Soul sounds just as angry as they ever did and the songs they played from their latest album are still stuck in my head.

I was pumped to Dope back in 2009 at Pedal to the Metal, but as you all know, their set was cancelled. Five years later, mission accomplished!  These guys have not have a new album in a number of years but last night they made it known that they are simultaneously working on two albums to be released soon. I didn't get to hear it last night, but fingers crossed they bust out "Motivation" for Missoula.

Deep, artful, fierce, mysterious, and smoking hot. There are a lot of ways that I can describe Otep but in all actuality they are something that you have to experience first hand. Don't miss your chance.

This well known former front man of Static X is no stranger to Montana and he is returning to Missoula to top off your night of Civil Unrest. In Butte, I got to hear the entire Wisconsin Death Trip Album played live and then some. I can't wait to see what happens in Missoula
