We here in Montana are excited to be featured in an upcoming blockbuster game release...Well, kinda. The new Far Cry 5 is set to take place in the fictional Hope County, Montana. As a fan of the Far Cry series, I cannot express how stoked I am to play this game. But, there are people out there that are trying to stop the game from being released.

Why?

Opponents to the game are saying that the game is an inaccurate portrayal of "middle America." Because this is the first part of the Far Cry series that doesn't take place in a foreign land, and is right here at home.

People are also complaining that the game portrays "white genocide." Mainly due to the fact that the game is centered around a religious/extremist organization, in Montana...Therefore, glorifying the killing of a mostly white group of people.

Opponents of the game have recently filed petitions to stop the game from being released. But, from all the buzz surrounding the game, I don't see that happening.

FAR CRY 5 is scheduled to be released in February 2018.
