Pre-Dawn Flash Illuminates Montana’s Big Sky 2024 —Here’s Why
I will never forget a particular hunting experience with my brother.
After a long day in the woods, we headed back to camp to make a meal. It was dark when we arrived, so I took a minute to find some firewood and chop kindling. Meanwhile, my brother thought it would be a great idea to grab a 5-gallon can of fuel and just dump it on the fire pit. As I had my back to camp, suddenly the whole hillside in front of me lit up for a second. Almost as if it was daylight. I turn around to see my brother with no eyebrows and a flaming gas can... Don't try this at home kids.
A giant flash surprised thousands during the pre-dawn hours of their commute this morning.
At approximately 6:34 am on November 13th, 2024, the sky lit up for a moment. The pre-dawn sky suddenly turned blue. Almost as if it was daylight. What caused it? Is someone holding a flaming gas can right now?
According to Montana Right Now/ABC
A meteorite was detected lighting up the skies early Wednesday as reported by the National Weather Service.

This may not be the last meteor you see in Montana's BIG SKY. The Leonid Meteor Shower is underway in the night sky until at least December 2nd. Astrologists believe the meteor shower will peak intensity on November 17th and 18th.
