Former Comedy Central Host and Comedian Announces 2 Montana Shows
There seem to be so many options these days when it comes to television. We went from basic cable having a maximum of 50 channels to choose from to satellite with hundreds of channels, and with streaming the choices are endless. For me, I really only needed 2 channels growing up. MTV and Comedy Central. Forget the hundreds of other choices. I was fine with just 2.
Comedy Central programming was sometimes hit and miss. There were stand-up comedians who got their own prime-time shows. Some were okay, like "Inside Amy Schumer" or "Broad City." Then there were giant hit shows like "Tosh.0," "The Daily Show," and "Chapelle Show."
In the early part of the 2000s, a Honduran-born comedian named Carlos Mencia got his own primetime show called "Mind of Mencia." The show combined sketch comedy, man-of-the-street interviews, and parodies. The show was pretty popular for some time. In fact, it ran for 4 seasons from 2005 to 2008.
Carlos Mencia has announced that he is making his way to Montana this Fall. Making a stop in both Missoula and Bozeman this November.
Comedian, Carlos Mencia, will bring his No Hate No Fear Tour to Montana in Fall 2023, performing at The Wilma in Missoula on Friday, November 10th, and The ELM in Bozeman on Saturday, November 11th. Tickets for both shows will be available on Friday, September 22nd, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Top Hat box office, The ELM box office, online or by phone at 1 (800) 514-3849.
Now, I know fans of Joe Rogan love to point out the confrontation that Mencia and Rogan had years ago. For those not familiar, Joe Rogan accused Mencia of stealing other comedians' jokes. Which led to an awkward confrontation on stage.
Regardless of how it all went down in the comedy world, these upcoming shows in Montana should be great.
