Take a moment this Veterans Day to show your appreciation to the men and women that have served our country. You may not be able to offer up a meal like most of the places on the list below, but a thank you will suffice. Then again, if you can offer up a meal to a vet you might chance to meet - do that too!

A lot of businesses offer discounts to veterans throughout the year but we really see the freebies ramp up for Veterans Day at a lot of restaurants. In addition to food, Metro Express Car Wash (3550 Brooks Street) is teaming up with the 'Grace For Vets' program to offer FREE car washes to vets from 7 AM to 9 PM.
