At mid-morning, the snow was still falling at Lolo Pass on US 12, west of the Bitterroot Valley.

The Montana Department of Transportation reported snowfall at most passes in Western Montana Tuesday morning, December 20, as the latest storm passed through from the Pacific.

Earlier Tuesday, chains were required for towing units over Lookout Pass, Interstate 90. On Monday, sections of I-90 near Livingston were closed because of white-out conditions of snow and wind.

The next snowfall expected by the National Weather Service is Thursday, with a possibility of a little more of the white stuff Friday and Saturday. That's right, we might have some snow on Christmas Eve.

Drive carefully on the roads. Arrive at your destination safely.
