Ghost End Milwaukee Show Early After Fan Collapses, Dies
Ghost were forced to end their Milwaukee concert early last night (May 31) after a fan collapsed in the pit. The man reportedly collapsed during intermission, dying later that night after being transported to the hospital.
The tragedy occurred on the eve of Ghost releasing their highly anticipated fourth album, Prequelle. Ghost had completed Act I of their ‘Rats! on the Road’ show, which is usually followed by Cardinal Copia talking with the crowd. According to JSonline, the fan collapsed during intermission at around 9:15pm. Fans flagged security for help and CPR was given to the man while concertgoers cleared the Riverside Theater.
A report from CBS 58 says CPR was performed for at least 15-20 minutes. At around 9:45pm, security began to inform fans the show had been canceled due to a “terrible tragedy.”
"Tonight, in Milwaukee, there was a medical emergency with one of our fans," Ghost wrote on Twitter. "We decided not to continue out of respect to him and his family. Ghost and all who work with us ask that you please send the family your thoughts, prayers and respect their privacy during this time."
We’d like to send our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the unnamed Ghost fan.
