After breaking through in 2017 and being voted as Loudwire's Best New Artist at the 2017 Loudwire Music Awards, Greta Van Fleet are looking to carry over that momentum into 2018. The band issued their From the Fires double EP late last year and while they are spending the early part of the year in the studio recording their first proper full-length, they are anxious to get back out on the road where they continue to win over more fans.

"We love making music and we love playing shows, but we never expected anything like the attention we've been getting," said bassist Sam Kiszka. "We are truly humbled by the response we've gotten, and are very excited to get back on the road and play for our fans."

Their spring dates begin in April, as they've already been confirmed to play Coachella and the Welcome to Rockville festivals, but the headline run begins in earnest in May. The newly announced headline shows begin May 3 in Austin, Texas, though they already have previously announced sold out shows in Houston and Dallas the two days prior. The run also includes stops at the Shaky Knees, Carolina Rebellion, Rock on the Range and Hangout festivals. Tickets for the newly announced headline shows will go on sale this Friday (Jan. 26) and you can check the band's website for ticketing details. See all of the stops listed below.

As stated, Greta Van Fleet are in the studio to start the year. The band is spending the remainder of January and part of February working on their full-length debut album, splitting time between Detroit and Nashville. Their new album finds them reunited with Al Sutton and Marlon Young, the production duo who oversaw their breakout EP, Black Smoke Rising last year. The group has a wealth of material ready to record, built up over their young lives but bolstered by a brief respite working on music in the Tennessee woods last year.

"Each of us has his own set of influences so that brings a great diversity to the music we make," said Jake. "Every one of our songs has its own unique complexities and we'd like for the full album to showcase that diversity, let people see what we can really do." At present, the new disc is tentatively expected to arrive by late spring or early summer.
