With summer on it's way out, now is the time to sneak in that summer road trip you have been waiting for. We have been locked up for long enough, time to get out on the open road. I am sure that your original vacation plans got all messed up thanks to the pandemic. Lots of people's vacations got screwed up. So, they did the next best thing and resorted to good old fashioned family road trips instead.

According to the theactivetimes.com

According to a survey of 2,000 U.S. adult drivers conducted by travel center company Pilot Flying J, here are the ways that the coronavirus pandemic has changed how Americans plan to travel this summer.

More than a third (35%) of respondents said they'd prefer driving over flying post-COVID-19. People reported they would be willing to add an average of six hours and 38 minutes to their travel time so that they could drive instead of fly.

And there are many places here in Montana that are road trip worthy destinations. But, according to nearly 400,000 fans of Matt Shirley on Instagram, there is one spot you might "steer clear" of. Matt Shirley asked his fans to name the worst attraction in every state. Unfortunately the 50,000 Silver Dollar Bar, in Haugan MT, made the top spot.

I DO NOT AGREE! There are plenty of other places in Montana that are barely worthy of even slowing down to see. In my opinion, the wall to wall / floor to ceiling display of the silver dollars is a spectacle. Plus, this has been a traditional stop on any roadtrip that involves a trip west on I-90. Their gift shop is phenomenal. I cannot tell you how many times I have entered, and left with a samurai sword or a gaudy trucker hat.
