The McRib has returned to McDonalds. And, unlike years past, the McRib is being released nationally. Some might remember that in years past, the McRib went on tour across the country. Only being released in certain regions for a certain duration of time. But, in 2020, it is being released EVERYWHERE! That's great! But, when you are locked up in quarantine or just trying to limit your time in public, why not make your McRib at home?

The McRib isn't as much of a mystery as you may think. Lots of people speculate that the "mystery meat" in the McRib is just a ground combination of "pork lips and buttholes." It is actually just ground pork that is shaped to look like a boneless rack of ribs. And it is much easier to make than you would think.

According to Mashed, here is what you will need

Ingredients
¾ cup ketchup
2 tablespoons molasses
1 tablespoon Worcestershire
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon chili powder
¼ teaspoon ground coriander
1 pound boneless pork chops
3 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
4 6-inch hoagie rolls
4 tablespoons butter, softened
8 sliced pickles
½ cup sliced white onion

Judging by the following video, making the "rib" is the hardest part to make. Plus, the barbecue sauce is key to matching the taste on the sandwich. And most importantly, do not forget the pickles and onion. The following video will give you in depth details on how to properly make your own McRib at home.
