Missoula Business Puts the FUN in Fundraiser for First Responders
Without actually doing it for a living, there's no way to really grasp the stress that comes with being a first responder. And various events over the last few years haven't exactly made it less challenging for members of our police forces and fire departments. With that in mind, here's a great event that everyone can get behind! Lookout Throwing Company in Missoula has an upcoming fundraiser that will help with the purchase of resources that address the challenges faced by first responders.
Lookout Throwing Co. is partnering with Missoula PD and the Missoula Fire Department for a 24-hour Throw-a-Thon that'll take place on June 5. The goal of the event is to raise money to purchase Cordico Wellness & 911 At Ease services. Both of these companies specialize in mental health & wellness. Services will provide confidential professional trauma-informed counseling services for first responders and their families.
Members of MPD and MFD will be throwing axes during the event and it's open to the public. You can stop in to cheer them on, make a donation, and even do a little throwing of your own for free. Details with food and drinks are in the works but have yet to be finalized and there will be items up for raffle.
Also, any donation of $250+ will be entered to win a new Traeger grill and a private party at Lookout Throwing Co. Business donors are being sought for the Throw-a-Thon with donations of $500+ having their company name/logo hung inside the axe throwing bays and $1000+ donors getting their company name/logo directly above the targets. (Space is limited but as of now there are still spots available.)
Put June 5 on the calendar as a day to help support first responders that protect and serve Missoula! Activities begin at 10 AM at Lookout Throwing Co. - 1210 W. Kent Ave in Missoula.
