At about 8:15 Monday night, Missoula Police responded to the report of a male who had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, in the 500 block of North California Street.

Upon their arrival, officers found the 28-year-old victim, and learned that the shooting was the result of a disturbance between him and a 24-year-old male suspect.

Witnesses at the scene, as well as other informants eventually led officers to a residence in the 200 block of North Catlin Street where the suspect was located and taken into custody.  The victim suffered a non-life threatening injury.

The suspect is identified as Jordan Standingrock.  He is currently being held for one count of attempted deliberate homicide.
