Fingers Crossed That COVID Doesn't Affect Bobcats and Title Game

Missoula might not be on the same level as the rest of the state when it comes to rooting for the Montana State Bobcats this weekend in the FCS Championship Game. But even in the heart of Griz country, I've heard a lot of people say they're hoping the Cats can bring home the championship. It seems like there's a lot of support behind the "if my team can't be in the game I hope MSU can win it for the state of Montana" way of thinking.

We just have to make it through one more COVID-less game

The craziness of the football playoffs and MSU's run to the championship game almost had me forgetting that COVID-19 could show its ugly face at any time. I was quickly reminded of that fact today as I read an article about ways the season could end if either MSU or North Dakota State were to get hit with a rash of positive COVID cases. It's pretty crazy to think that there's still a possibility of the game being forfeited by either team or the game not being played at all.

But just in case we don't make it.....

Let's hope nothing crazy happens between now and Saturday. But the NCAA has announced the different scenarios that would play out if COVID happened to strike either team during the week.

Both teams are scheduled to arrive in Texas on Wednesday (1/5) for the game that will be played on Saturday (1/8.) A KPAX article breaks down the details of what would happen if COVID cases forced either team to be shorthanded for the game. Different scenarios include the game being postponed to next weekend, a forfeit by either team, and the championship being vacated if both teams are unable to compete. What an unfortunate finish to the season if COVID was to force one or both teams to be anything less than full strength. Can you imagine getting this far and having to bow out of the National Championship Game at the last minute?

Montana's Museum Of The Rockies Is For Everyone! Check It Out

Museum of the Rockies is nestled right next to Bobcat Stadium in Bozeman. The Museum is part of the American Alliance of Museums, which means that the Museum of the Rockies is one of the 1,095 museums to hold this distinction. With over 33,000 museums nationwide, this is quite an accomplishment.

The Museum of the Rockies is also part of the Montana Dinosaur Trail. What is that? It is a trail that runs through the state of Montana and has 14 locations. Each location will get you just a little closer to the history and knowledge of Dinosaurs.

Museum of the Rockies has current and rotating exhibits. Currently, (December 2021) here are some of my favorites that are on display: Siebel Dinosaur Complex, Welcome to Yellowstone Country, which digs into the history of Montana, Enduring Peoples Exhibit, highlighting the American Indians of Montana, and the Paugh Exhibit, illuminating the stories that connect us with the Northern Colorado Rockies. Museum of the Rockies is an independent 501 Non-Profit here in Bozeman. With that being said, they hold some of the most exquisite benefits throughout the year.
