Papa Roach Cram Action Into ‘Traumatic’ Video
It's been another great year for Papa Roach and they'll roll that momentum into the next year, but before the calendar turns over, they're squeezing the last out of 2017 with a new music video for the Crooked Teeth track "Traumatic."
The band puts a spin on the more traditional performance videos, foregoing the usual warehouse for more abstract shots like singer Jacoby Shaddix confined in a straightjacket, suspended upside down from the rafters above Papa Roach's stage. Drummer Tony Palermo is seen duct taped to the wall, lightly hitting two drums. Meanwhile, clips of fans going berserk during shows are displayed along with the occasional fire breather.
Papa Roach will continue to support this year's Crooked Teeth in 2018, hitting the U.S. on another headlining tour, this time with support coming from Nothing More and Escape the Fate. The run begins on April 5 and a list of all upcoming stops can be found here. After the tour concludes, it appears the band is intent on hitting the studio to begin work on their next record.
Over the summer, Shaddix received a scare as Papa Roach were forced to nix a handful of tour dates to allow the singer to undergo vocal chord surgery. The diagnosis was similar to one from five years ago and a full recovery has already been made.
