Santa Presents the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree in Missoula
It has been revealed that Montana's own Kootenai National Forest will provide this year's U.S. Capitol Christmas tree that will be erected on the West Front Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in D.C. for the 2017 holiday season.
The enormous tree will make a special stop at the Southgate Mall on November 15th as part of the celebration to welcome Santa to Missoula. Santa will arrive at the main entrance of the mall at 6 p.m. with the Capitol tree and treats for the kids. There will also be dance performances, activities for the kids and photos with Santa.
According to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, an 11-year-old Bozeman boy has been chosen to light this year's Capitol tree in D.C. in a ceremony to be held on December 6th.
