Miss The Flyover? Santa Is Driving A Semi Through Missoula This Week
This past weekend, we were walking downtown, heading out to go see Reggie Watts at the Wilma. It was a pretty brisk December night in Missoula - a little bit of snow on the ground, very Christmasy. And adding to that Christmas feeling was the fact that we saw Santa flying overhead as we were walking.
Yes, the Western Montana Santa Flyover - an annual tradition which returned last year after a long absence - happened again on Friday, and it was so cool seeing kids and families craning their necks up the sky to catch a glimpse of Santa as he flew around Missoula and the surrounding areas.
But what about those kids who missed out on the flyover this year? Well, luckily, they've still got a chance to see Santa in Missoula before he heads out for his flight on Christmas Eve.
Semi Santa Will Be Driving Through Missoula Locations This Week
The Santa Flyover Facebook page recently posted about Semi Santa, and it's exactly what it sounds like - Santa will be driving a semi-truck around Missoula and parking at different locations in town.
The plan is for Santa to be out on December 22nd and 23rd, and he'll be stopping by the Walmart on Mullan Road, Ashley Furniture, and all of the Albertsons locations in Missoula. You can track where he is at any given time during those days through this handy Semi Santa Tracker website.
Man, Santa really likes spending time in Missoula! Maybe he's thinking of moving out here during his off-season. I don't know how much money the dude makes, but with rising rent costs in town, hopefully he can afford it!
