It’s Happening! Santa is Set to Fly Over Missoula on Friday
Last year, kids in Missoula were delighted by the return of a longstanding holiday tradition - the Western Montana Santa Fly Over!
It was incredible seeing families out in the streets hoping to get a glimpse of Santa as he made his pre-Christmas test flight around Missoula. And this year, he's getting ready for another ride.
Santa Will Fly Over Missoula Again on Friday, December 17th
We've been following the progress of this year's Santa Fly Over for a while now, and it was recently announced in the group's Facebook page that enough money had been raised to officially make it happen once more!
So assuming the weather cooperates, the current plan is for Santa to fly Friday, December 17th at 6:30 PM. A huge map has been made detailing Santa's flight plan, which takes him all around Missoula, and even out to Bonner, Frenchtown, and Lolo. He's covering a lot of ground, but hey - he's Santa Claus! He's probably used to that by now.
And if you want to know exactly where Santa is at any given time during his flight, you can visit this website to track him and get up-to-date notifications so you can time your sighting perfectly.
It's so cool that Missoula has been able to bring this tradition back, and I know a lot of kids in the neighborhood will be excited to get a glimpse of Santa the week before Christmas arrives. Will you be out there looking for Santa in the skies on Friday?
