Snow in the Bitterroot Mountains
As predicted, snow fell in the mountains around Western Montana this weekend. The National Weather Service folks are expecting more showers through Tuesday, and then some clearing until next weekend, when the showers may come again. The next surge is coming out of the Gulf oa Alaska, so we can expect the photo from Lost Trail Pass (see above) at the south end of the Bitterroot Valley to continue to feature a lot of white. Please drive carefully if you're heading out and make sure you have those emergency supplies in your vehicle in case you run into severe weather or have engine troubles. In the winter, a little forethought can save lives. KLYQ has a convenient link to road cameras at the top of our website home page.
