The Supreme Court sided with the video game industry, declaring a victor in the six-year legal match between the industry and the California lawmakers who wanted to make it a crime for anyone in the state to sell extremely violent games to kids.
For Years the gaming industry has been taking heat from lawmakers claiming that violent video games were the reason why such horrible tragedies like Columbine were commited. If that is the case then "Catcher in the rye" needs to be burned because it was the reason John Lennon got murdered. Members of the ESA (Entertainment Software Association) declared that game should be listed under the First Amendment just like books and movies. In a 7-2 ruling, the Supreme Court agreed.
