Watch LIVE Stream of NASA Space-X Launch
It is hard to believe that it has almost been a decade since NASA retired their space shuttles. Since then, no manned space flights have been launched from American soil.
According to Wikipedia
The retirement of NASA's Space Shuttle fleet took place from March to July 2011. Discovery was the first of the three active Space Shuttles to be retired, completing its final mission on March 9, 2011; Endeavour did so on June 1. The final shuttle mission was completed with the landing of Atlantis on July 21, 2011, closing the 30-year Space Shuttle program.
Now, the Space X program has joined forces with NASA. This is going to be a historic launch, as it is the first time a commercial aerospace company will launch humans into space. They will be piloting what is called a Crew Dragon Capsule.
