Are There Ghosts at the Ravalli County Museum?
For several years, the volunteers and staff of the Ravalli County Museum in Hamilton annually open the building for overnight paranormal investigations.
The building, which served for many years as the Ravalli County Courthouse and jail, has a history of "bumps in the night" occurrences that defy explanations. Several actual paranormal investigations have been allowed over the years, but the annual Halloween events are for the general public.
There will be three chances for you to spend the night in the building - Saturday October 21, Saturday October 28 and Halloween night October 31. Participants will gather at 10 p.m. and the event wraps up at 3 a.m. the next morning.
Paranormal investigation equipment will be available and you'll be in the dark in some areas not on the usual tour of the museum. The Ghost Tour is not for anyone under age 14, and those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Cost is $25 for general public, $20 for those who are Historical Society members. There is limited attendance, so call the Ravalli County Museum at (406) 363-3338.
The Ravalli County Museum is at 205 Bedford in Hamilton.
