Brewing Company Now Making Beer-Flavored Ice Cream
How many floaters get tossed after house parties, tailgating and pre-gaming before a proctologist appointment? Sad. Leftover beer is an issue to beer makers as well. If only there were a way to salvage all that tasty waste. The Great Lakes Brewing Company has, dare we say, a Nobel Prize winning idea — make it into ice cream.
To coincide with the release for the company’s Christmas Ale, Great Lakes Brewing is unveiling Christmas Ale Ginger Snap ice cream. The frozen treat incorporates residual Christmas Ale leftover from the bottling process with local honey and homemade ginger snaps.
While the beer is available in several states, the ice cream is available only in Ohio.
We’ll all be there around 7pm. Please plan accordingly.
