It’s hard to keep kids still thinking about learning in the summer months. As a parent you have to think of sneaky ways to get them to even consider turning on their brains for science or math when all they want to is run through the sprinklers all day to beat the heat.

This summer I have decided to trick my kids into learning. I know it sounds evil, but I’m doing it for their own good. I swear. I’m trying to make it fun and tasty too. This delicious slime experiment is a great way to teach your kids a little science, a little cooking and let them have a little fun too.

Easy and Delicious Edible Slime

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 tablespoon corn starch

Food coloring, your favorite color

Vanilla, orange, peppermint or maple (whatever your favorite flavoring is)

Edible glitter or sprinkles

Pour the milk and corn starch into a sauce pan and lightly whisk while you cook it over low heat until it gets to the desired thickness. Take the saucepan off of the heat and stir in the coloring, flavoring and glitter. Wait to add the sprinkles until the slime has cooled a little or the sprinkles will melt. Let the slime cool and then have fun and eat. Keep refrigerated for up to two days.
