Gas Prices In Montana Are 40 Cents Cheaper Than A Month Ago
Gas prices continue to drop in Montana, but that may not be the case for much longer. Patrick DeHaan is the Head of Petroleum Analysis at GasBuddy.com and he gives us the current numbers.
“The average price is down about four cents a gallon,” DeHaan said. “Statewide the average is about $2.30, but you can find it a little bit cheaper if you are shopping around. Some of the cheaper prices in Missoula are all the way down to $2.24. The national average also went down by a similar amount, falling four cents a gallon in the last week to about $2.23.”
According to DeHaan, prices at the pumps today are much lower than they were a year ago.
“Prices on this day one year ago were averaging about $2.56,” DeHaan said. “We are saving a little over 25 cents a gallon today. It is just about the same nationally, prices are 25 cents lower than where they were last year. Prices in Montana are still down about 40 cents a gallon in the last month. Prices are still quite a bit lower than even just a month ago.”
DeHaan predicts that prices will start to stabilize next week and he expects an increase later this month.
