Amazon Prime Day Has Been Announced

There are two times when Amazon sees the most packages going out of their warehouses: Christmas and Amazon Prime Day.

This year, Prime Day will be held on both July 16th and 17th, and if you're like most people, you'll be ordering multiple items, which means multiple packages.

It turns out that this year, when opening those packages, they'll look different from past deliveries from Amazon.

Amazon Looks To Reduce Waste With Massive Change

I can't be the only one who laughs when a large box arrives with one small item inside, the rest filled with those little air pillows.

Well, Amazon has made an announcement that those air pillows will be disappearing soon.

Going forward, they'll be using a paper material that is made from 100% recycled materials.

This change will result in one of the biggest plastic reductions in America. It will also keep almost 15 billion of those air pillows from ending up in the garbage.

Even employees are happy about the change, as they told ABC News that the new material is easier to manage.
