Happy Birthday Montana! Here Are 5 Gift Ideas To Give Our Beautiful State
Montana became the 41st state in the U.S. on November 8, 1889. Its name stemmed from the Spanish word montaña, which translates to mountain. On its 134th birthday, we celebrate Mountain, and we all know every celebration needs a birthday party.
Let's throw Big Sky Country that party! Bake a huckleberry pie, grab a Cold Smoke and celebrate the 406. But wait, you forgot to get a gift. You can't go to a birthday party without a gift.
No sweat. If you need some help, I've got you covered.
Here are five gift ideas to give Montana for its birthday today.
For one day, we will ban all tourists
For 24 hours, let's give our wonderful state a break from all the tourists clomping their unwanted selves inside MT's borders. Leave Montana alone would ya?
J.K. Simmons jumping out of a cake
Montana's own J.K Simmons needs to be at MT's birthday bash. We'll ask his agent if we can bake him into a cake, so he can jump out and surprise everyone. Simmons is a much better choice than a scandalous dancer.
A private round at the shooting range with all of Montana's friends
Rent out Deep Creek Range for Montana and all its friends to put some target practice in like any real Montanan would do. Feel free to invite Wyoming, Washington, Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota and even California (California won't be able to shoot so it will give the other states a good laugh).
A marijuana dispensary tour
Montana is still acclimating to a weed-infused culture, so set up a marijuana dispensary tour. Once again, MT can invite all their friends and check out the state's best dispensaries. I had more to this plan but forgot what I was typing (wink).
50 copies of Napoleon Dynamite
In order to celebrate the cast of Napoleon Dynamite coming to Missoula next week, purchase 50 copies of the movie to gift to Montana. Why do you need 50 copies? You don't remember because you just left the marijuana dispensary tour.
