With Soundgarden crooner Chris Cornell filling in for the late Layne Staley, Mad Season are coming together for one very special show. Original band members Mike McCready and Barrett Martin will also be joined by Guns N' Roses' bassist Duff McKagan.

The band will perform during the Seattle Symphony's 'Sonic Evolution' on Jan. 30. The show will also feature orchestral performances of Mad Season songs, as well as an original song composed by McCready, who will be performing alongside the orchestra.

The orchestra will also feature original works inspired by bands from Seattle's grunge legacy, including Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

And in case you're too young to remember them, or if you're a fan and now you are in the mood to hear some, here are Mad Season performing 'X-Ray Mind' back in 1995:
