Pop Evil To Unleash New Album ‘UP’ on Aug. 21
In late January, we reported that Pop Evil had begun work on their fourth full-length album with producer Adam Kasper, who has worked with the likes of Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Now, Pop Evil have revealed that their new disc will be called UP and it’ll be released Aug. 21. And there is even more of a reason to mark your calendars because they'll also be releasing the single "Footsteps" on June 1.
Pop Evil enjoyed their greatest success with their previous disc, Onyx, which spawned three No. 1 active rock singles. But frontman Leigh Kakaty says they still feel like they have to prove themselves as a group.
He states in a press released, “People ask me all the time, ‘What's it like to hear your song on the radio?’ It never gets old! It's a reminder of hard work, and of having that dream sitting in your garage, trying to write a song that someone would love one day. That dream happened for our band and it's something that we don't want to take lightly.” He added, “Now it's time to step up our game and let people know we can back it all up. We want to prove we aren’t a one hit wonder. We didn’t just get lucky.”
To accompany their big album news, the group has also released the third installment of “The Making of #PEIV.” In this behind-the-scenes video, the group talk about their excitement to get out and play the new music from UP for the fans and how much they enjoy when their fans add new meaning to their songs.
