I was not aware that a member of internet royalty was a fellow Montanan.

Her name is Patti Baumgartner, and her son was the person who snapped the photo and posted it online.

According to KPAX

Patti Baumgartner, a mother and grandmother decided to take action because she was tired of cars zipping down South Finley Point in Polson. She's worried about her grandchild's safety when they went for walks down the road – so she took matters into her own hands. "We were talking about maybe something would slow the cars down. So, we decided to put me in a chair, and I guess use the hair dryer as a speed thing," Baumgartner told MTN News.

Patti was recently a special guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show. Explaining how the photo came to be part of the Internet Hall of Fame.
