Tourist season is still in full force. It is clear just about any road you drive, you will see an out of state license plate. Granted lots of locals are thinking this is some kind of mass migration to Montana, during the COVID 19 pandemic. But, it is actually just business as usual for the tourism industry in Montana. In fact, Montana's tourism industry is actually Montana's second largest industry.

According to Missoula Current

Tourism and recreation in Montana has grown to become the state's second largest industry. More than 12 million visitors came to the state in 2018 and spent more than $3.7 billion. That spending supported nearly 45,000 jobs and generated $230 million in state and local taxes.

Even during the global pandemic, places like Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park have seen plenty of visitors in 2020. Even though Yellowstone's visitors are down 49% from last year. Well over 2 million people have visited the park so far in 2020.

Not all of YNP's visitors can be pleased though. You may remember a viral photo that swept the web, back in 2015. The photo was of a comment card left at one of the Yellowstone National Park Lodges.

The comment card reads:

Our visit was wonderful, but we never saw any bears. Please train your bears to be where guests can see them. This was an expensive trip to not get to see bears.

Just recently, Daniel Tosh and the Tosh.O team paid homage to the viral photo on their Facebook page.
