Where to Get Flu Shots in Missoula

With the widespread flu epidemic, people who haven’t already got their flu shots are scrambling to do so now. The Centers for Disease Control is recommending everyone get a flu shot this year. Both New York and Boston have declared a public health emergency due to the high number of flu cases. The rest of the country has been urged to get vaccinated before their states suffer the same fate. So, to help you and your family get their flu shots, we have compiled a list of places where you can receive your shots. Just be sure to call ahead to make sure they haven’t run out.

As long as you’re over 18, pretty much any pharmacy can give you a flu shot. You can go to Walgreens, Albertsons, CVS, Shopko, Safeway, Costco, Rosauers and Target.

Your local doctor’s office can give both kids and adults flu shots.

You can also get a flu shot at your local health department for kids and adults. The Missoula County Health Department is located at 301 West Alder, downtown.

If you have young kids, you can always get a flu shot at your local pediatrician’s office. Both Community Medical Center and Western Montana Clinic have pediatricians on staff. The flu shot is recommended for anyone 6 months of age and older.

You can also get a flu shot at Now Care, First Choice, Community Physicians Group and Providence Medical Group walk-in clinics. There are numerous locations for these throughout Missoula:

Now Care – 2901 Brooks Street (in Southgate Mall) and 500 West Broadway (in the St. Patrick Hospital Broadway building).

First Choice – 702 South West Higgins Ave, Suite B.

Community Physicians Group – 2230 North Reserve Street (in the Northgate Plaza), 1211 South Reserve Street #101 and 2831 Fort Missoula Road (in the Community Medical Center building).

Providence Medical Group – 3075 North Reserve Street (in the Grant Creek shopping center). They also have clinics in Frenchtown, Florence, Hamilton and Stevensville.
