HIs Wife Has Bear Hair
My husband is a born and bred true Montanan. He loves and lives to fish, hunt, hike and enjoy the outdoors. During our married life, I have learned just how deep his obsession goes with this beautiful place we are lucky enough to call home.
He has hundreds of hunting and fishing stories, many of which I have heard more than once. He seems to be able to relate everything that happens to to these two sports. His brain works on a different wavelength. I have a theory that the brains of many hardcore Montanans also work on this wavelength.
I didn’t really realize how severe my husband’s obsession with hunting was until last night. You see, I decided to tweak my hair color a little bit. At first my husband was upset about this, but then the more he looked at it, the more he liked it. I was glad that he liked it, until I he told me why he liked it.
It turns out that the reason he liked my new hair color was because it was the same color as the bear that he had harvested last hunting season. I wasn’t sure if I should be flattered by this or offended.
I thought about it for a little while and decided to be flattered by it. If he thought the hair on that bear was pretty enough to want it draped over the footboard of our log bed, then that hair color was pretty enough to be draped on me.
I’ve come to realize that I may never truly understand exactly how my husband thinks. However, I’ve decided that I will always try to see the good in it.
