The Missoula County Attorney’s Office continues its streak of filing double digit cases each week. According to County Attorney Kirsten Pabst, her office juggled 13 new cases and five of them were violent crimes.

“One of those was a robbery that involved an alleged theft scheme involving more than one person at Walmart,” said Pabst. “There were four new violent cases involving family violence. One was an aggravated assault. There was another one in which the charge was the defendant allegedly broke out a window of a car with a shovel while the family was inside.”

Pabst says they received a variety of other crimes as well.

“There were a handful of property crimes, one deceptive practices, one exploitation case, two criminal mischief chases that involved smashing windows out of vehicles as well and being in possession of stolen goods,” Pabst said. “There were a couple of drug cases and an obstructing.”

Temperatures in Missoula are beginning to drop and Pabst hopes the number of crimes next week will drop as well.
