The Missoula County Attorney’s Office had a rather busy week compared to what they dealt with the week before. County Attorney Kirsten Pabst says her office filed 19 new complaints.

“Seven of those were violent crimes or crimes against people,” said Pabst. “There was one partner or family member assault and one assault with a weapon involving a non-family member. The defendant allegedly shot a 40 caliber handgun into the cab of a truck that contained three occupants. Thankfully no one was seriously injured.”

According to Pabst, the bullet went through the back window and grazed the back of one man’s neck. The crimes didn’t stop there.

“There was an indecent exposure case and an aggravated assault,” Pabst said. “There were three cases involving violations of an order of protection. There were two forgery cases, two DUI cases, six property crimes, two deceptive practices, a couple of burglaries and a couple of drug cases.”

Pabst says a defendant in one of the drug cases allegedly took a running vehicle from a gas station that someone left unattended. When she was caught and arrested at the jail, she allegedly had meth in her handbag.
