Missoula Police Nab Woman For Possessing Meth While On Probation
Missoula Police received a call Thursday morning from a probation officer that needed some assistance at a business in the 2200 block of Reserve Street. The probation officer recognized a vehicle parked outside and asked police to help locate the vehicle’s owner. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.
“The officer met with the probation officer,” said Welsh. “They went inside and did find the person. They identified her as 53-year-old Brenda Patterson. She was informed that being in the business was a violation of probation. They then searched her vehicle and located drug paraphernalia. They found what appeared to be a pipe used for ingesting narcotics and they also found a substance that turned out to be meth.”
Patterson was charged with felony probation violation and felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs. She was released from the Missoula County Jail on Friday.
