Ravalli County Public Summit on Opioids and Drugs is Friday

The presence of opioid, meth and alcohol abuse has reached deep into Montana, including Ravalli County. Hamilton's Sapphire Community Health Center is conducting a public summit all day Friday, July 27, at the Bitterroot College. The free sessions start at 9 a.m. Friday and the summit should wrap up about 3 p.m. Many of the speakers will talk of how drug abuse, including opioids and meth, affect the Bitterroot Valley. Presenters include:

Bobbie Perkins, Bureau Chief, Addictive & Mental Disorders of the Montana Department of Health and Human Services

Kari Auclair, Director of Montana Mental Health Services

Dr. Brett Bender, Chief Medical Officer of Sapphire Community Health in Hamilton.

Hamilton Police Sergeant Bob Liercke

Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton
