The Roxy Theater Unveils Movie Lineup For July
The Roxy Theater finally reopened its doors this month, and things have pretty quickly been getting back to normal. They've been expanding their selection of new releases, and over the last few weeks have shown movies like In The Heights, The Sparks Brothers, and a new documentary from a Missoula-based filmmaker called Fathom. And now they've announced that next month sees the return of special series at the theater - older classics that you'll be able to experience again on the big screen.
The Roxy unveiled their July Special Series lineup in a video on Facebook:
So in addition to the new releases this month which are mostly yet to be announced (so far, they've got Zola and Summer of Soul scheduled to start on July 2nd), here are the movies you'll be able to catch at the theater:
Saturday, July 3rd - True Romance (Movie Cult)
Saturday, July 10th - Spaceballs (Movie Cult)
Saturday, July 17th - 9 to 5 (Movie Cult)
Saturday, July 24th - Trolls World Tour (Roxy Jr.)
Saturday, July 24th - Bridesmaids (Movie Cult)
Friday, July 30th - Castle Freak (Trash Talk)
Saturday, July 31st - O Brother, Where Are Thou? (Movie Cult)
Plus, they've already announced two Hip Strip Movie Nights across the street - High Fidelity and Do The Right Thing - and a Centerfield Cinema showing of Stand By Me at Ogren Park on July 22nd.
I'm pretty pumped for the return of Trash Talk, and I think experiencing Spaceballs with a huge crowd would be a ton of fun. You can check out The Roxy's website for more info and to buy tickets. Which of these are you most excited to see?
