Missoula Band Does Metal Cover of ‘The Night Santa Went Crazy’
Have you stopped and wondered "what has Weird Al Yankovic been up to lately?" Well, outside of being a published children's book author, as well as dabbling in other forms of media. Weird Al is still doing what he does best, and writing satirical songs for the masses. In fact, according to wikipedia;
After Hamilton had premiered on Disney+ in July 2020, Yankovic released a video version of "The Hamilton Polka" that synched his song to video clips from the show. Also in March, Al released two remixes of songs by Portugal. The Man: "Feel It Still" and "Live in the Moment". In 2020, he collaborated with the band again on their single, "Who's Gonna Stop Me," which was released for Indigenous Peoples' Day.
Even though Weird Al is still grinding away and making new music. Sometimes we like to look back on some of our favorites from Al. With Christmas almost here, who doesn't remember one of your all-time favorite holiday tunes? "The Night Santa Went Crazy."
One local Missoula band hooked us up with their rendition of the song last Christmas, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I'm talking about our homeboys in Ceres (rhymes with Paris.) They have cranked out a ton of original music over the last couple of years, as well as a couple of well-done covers. But, the following takes the cake....fruitcake that is.
Hear Ceres do a metal spin on Weird Al Yankovic's "The Night Santa Went Crazy."
