Ready to Ride? Lost Trail and Snowbowl Announce Opening Days

Hooray! Hooray! It is time for opening day! The wait is finally over. Winter has finally shown up in Montana. Snow recently arrived in much of Big Sky Country. That means it is time for some winter fun. Time to wax your board or your skis, because soon you will find yourself falling down a hill with grace. The lifts are running and ready for passengers at three western Montana ski areas.

Lost Trail Powder Mountain has announced that they are ready for opening day tomorrow (12/16/21.)

According to the latest reports on their social media pages, Lost Trail has got 23 inches of snow at the base. With both chairs 1 and 2 in operation. Chairs will begin running tomorrow morning at 9:30 am and continue running until 4 pm.

Lookout Pass has also received a bunch of snow recently and had a soft opening earlier this week.

Boasting over 40 inches in the past week, Lookout plans to Re-Open tomorrow and Friday. With plans to remain open 7 days a week for the remainder of the season. Lifts will be open from 9 am to 4 pm.

Montana Snowbowl also benefitted from the recent snowstorm that blanketed much of western Montana.

Montana Snowbowl had tentatively planned on opening Friday, December 17th. And thanks to the recent snowfall, it appears that will become a reality. According to the latest ski report, Snowbowl has got plenty of snow on top, with 40 inches at the summit.

Snowbowl will be open this upcoming weekend and then close until December 22nd. After that, they plan on remaining open daily, except for Christmas day. Lifts operating from 9:30 am to 4 pm.
